Job Title: Tile Setter
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Hawari Contracting LTD. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces to be covered with tile
- Mix and apply adhesives
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
- Align and straighten tiles
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
- Instruct apprentices
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Supervise other workers
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in tile setting
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
