About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Pardeep Sandhu. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical well-being
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living space
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to our clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and well-being
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, youths, Veterans, Indigenous people, or visible minorities
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
