About the Role

Brunel is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in the Product Development department. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing technical and project management aspects of a product's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead, manage, and support resources assigned to tasks related to product development or continuous improvement projects.
  • Project Planning: Plan, maintain, and communicate project timelines and changes.
  • Technical Expertise: Contribute to the technical design, development, and improvement of all products within the organization.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approve mechanical drawings and electrical schematics related to the project.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct and document testing activities to support product development and continuous improvement projects.
  • Prototyping and Installation: Participate in the assembly of prototypes and/or the installation of existing equipment parts (mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic).
  • Technical Support: Learn and maintain product knowledge and provide technical support to all internal departments.
  • Engineering Changes: Manage engineering changes for assigned products.
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality and continuous improvement review meetings and support initiatives and actions when required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical college diploma (specialized in mechanical or electrical).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management and leading project teams, especially in product development and continuous improvement projects.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to solve technical problems with minimal supervision.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), bilingualism required.
  • Leadership and Planning Skills: Leadership and advanced planning skills.
  • Software Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
  • Personal Qualities: Energy and results-oriented mindset.
  • Language Skills: Knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.
  • Technical Software Skills: Familiarity with technical software (CAD - Computer-Aided Design or CAE - Computer-Aided Engineering) is an asset.
  • Programming Skills and Certification: Programming skills and knowledge of certification standards (UL, CSA, NSF) are assets.
