Job Summary

The First Nations Education Steering Committee is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach to support educators in grades K4-9. As a key member of our Instructional Services team, you will work closely with First Nations schools to enhance instructional practices and improve student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with educators to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Provide coaching and support to teachers in planning and delivering instruction
Liaise with Regional Principals and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team
Travel to schools to provide instructional support and coaching

Requirements

Valid BC Teaching Certificate
Proven experience working as an educator in grades K4-9
BC Driver's Licence and willingness to drive
Comprehensive understanding of First Nations education issues and First Nations issues in British Columbia
Knowledge of current standards, trends, issues, best practices, philosophy, and techniques in education
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
