Job Title: Coach, K4-9 Instructional

First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coach, K4-9 Instructional to join our team. As a Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting educators in First Nations schools to improve instructional practices and student learning outcomes.

About the Role:

The Coach, K4-9 Instructional will work closely with First Nations schools to provide coaching and support to educators in planning and delivering instruction. This role requires a strong understanding of First Nations education issues and a proven track record of working effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide coaching and support to educators in planning and delivering instruction
  • Liaise with Regional Principals and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of instructional strategies
  • Travel regularly to schools to provide instructional support and coaching
  • Support educators in using classroom-based assessment tools and the BC Curriculum
  • Co-plan with educators to ensure effective delivery of instruction
Requirements:
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate
  • Proven experience working as an educator in grades K4-9
  • BC Driver's Licence and willingness to drive
  • Comprehensive understanding of First Nations education issues and First Nations issues in British Columbia
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
