Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Shift Lead to supervise and lead production and warehouse staff members at our Saskatoon facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for efficiently producing high-quality products while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead production and warehouse staff members to ensure efficient production and quality control.
- Train and develop employees on shift to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and upgrade standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assume responsibility for departmental safety, inspections, audits, training, and accident/incident reporting.
- Interact with operators, production staff, warehouse staff, QC Manager, Quality Control Coordinator, maintenance staff, and Production Supervisor to carry out daily responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Operator Level 2 in Solid Core process and manufacturing methodology.
- Ability to direct and motivate team members within shift.
- Familiarity with and adherence to legislative and corporate policies, particularly in areas of EHS.
- Understanding of Quality requirements and their impact on Customer service.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and supervision to meet schedules and deadlines with precision.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and computer-related skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a manufacturing environment and climb steps/ladders as well as lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate with team members, peers, and supervisors particularly in areas of job instruction and quality.
