Pharmacy Team Lead - Patient Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Team Lead to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Team Lead, you will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering medications accurately and timely to patients. You will also ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs and counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly and positive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
  • Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly and positive manner
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues
  • Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
  • Provide ongoing training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a Class A Pharmacist's license are required
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism are essential
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills are required
  • Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system, are a definite asset
