Job Summary

We are seeking a Labourer - Metallurgy to join our team at JP Metal. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, transporting raw materials and finished products, and assisting process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, ensuring efficient and safe movement.
  • Sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials, meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, providing support and expertise as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
Language and Work Conditions
  • French is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • 40 hours per week, with regular breaks and time off.
  • Temporary work arrangement, with opportunities for advancement.
