Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labourer - Metallurgy to join our team at JP Metal. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, transporting raw materials and finished products, and assisting process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, ensuring efficient and safe movement.
  • Sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials, meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, providing support and guidance as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with regular lifting, bending, and standing. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical demands of the job.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Language and Work Term

The successful candidate must be fluent in French and able to work in a French-speaking environment. This is a temporary work term, with a 40-hour workweek.
