Job Summary

Mont Sutton is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Lift Mechanic to join our team. As an Apprentice Lift Mechanic, you will work under the supervision of our experienced Industrial Mechanic to maintain, inspect, improve, and repair mountain equipment, including ski lifts, snowmaking equipment, ziplines, and other industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, including structures, electrical and hydraulic components, engines, and other critical systems.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks as required, including dismantling, cleaning, and assembling equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues with ski lifts and other industrial equipment.
  • Operate various machinery, including tracked transporters, loaders, all-terrain vehicles, and tractors.
  • Perform voltage tests and other safety-related tasks.
Requirements
  • Interest in electricity, industrial mechanics, electromechanics, and welding.
  • Experience in a similar position or at a ski resort (an asset).
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading (mechanical and electrical) (an asset).
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
