Job OverviewThe Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for assisting with project management, coordinating the work of contractors and vendors, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of building sciences, construction methodologies, and relevant building codes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of Automated Distribution Center projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring alignment with Loblaw standards and Supply Chain requirements.
- Coordinate the work of general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Post-secondary education in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (an asset).
- 5+ years of proven experience managing Industrial construction projects, ideally within multi-temperature and ASRS distribution center environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
