Job Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with patients with serious mental illness.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assessing the level of functional independence and occupational performance issues of patients
  • Collaborating with patients and their families to determine appropriate treatment goals and objectives
  • Implementing Occupational Therapy interventions on an individual basis and/or in group settings
  • Documenting assessment results, evaluations, patient progress, clinical summaries, etc.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in good standing
  • Preference for recent and related experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Preference for recent and related experience in mental health and/or community setting
  • Preference for experience with the autism spectrum/dual diagnosis patient population
  • Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
