At McLean Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ECT/TMS team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide immediate and long-term nursing care needs of patients receiving ECT/TMS within the standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate will work within the treatment team to provide pre-treatment assessment, treatment monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery management for individuals. You will utilize multiple data sources to determine actual/potential health issues, functional status, and safety concerns, and communicate patient condition and need for altered care with the treatment team.

In addition, you will establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiate and continue pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation, and EKG monitoring throughout treatment and recovery. You will demonstrate safe, accurate, and timely monitoring of cardiac and respiratory status and promote interventions that provide the least-restrictive and safest recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
  • Experience: No experience required, one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred
  • License: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
  • Required to complete electronic medical records training and demonstrate 80% accuracy on competency test within 30 days of hire.
