Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team at Velocity Truck Centres in Edmonton, AB.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position responsible for preparing and processing semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salary employees across multiple locations and collective agreements. The successful candidate will have experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system, current payroll practices, and worker compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process full cycle semi-monthly payroll for employees in multiple locations and collective agreements.
  • Administer employee group benefits and Company RRSP plans.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile various payroll and benefit related reports.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation and account analysis for payroll and withholding accounts.
  • Liaise between Company employees and insurance and employee benefit providers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system and current payroll practices.
  • Above average skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in payroll is an asset.
