Bennett Jones is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our Edmonton office. As a key member of our national Client & Business Development Team, you will play a strategic role in identifying and pursuing opportunities for revenue generation and brand awareness in the Edmonton and Alberta markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Edmonton business and legal community, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills. You will work closely with our local Managing Partner and other partners and leadership team members to execute the sales strategy and manage the planning and logistics of targeted communications and thought leadership initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Edmonton lawyers and practice teams with their business development planning and execution
  • Articulating and optimizing the ways in which we sell our Edmonton capabilities nationally to existing and prospective clients
  • Identifying and executing opportunities to build brand awareness and client loyalty in the local market
  • Working with our Proposals & Pursuits team nationally to develop and write proposals, positioning decks, and other marketing materials
  • Developing an understanding of the Edmonton lawyers' domestic and international client and referral relationships
  • Researching and attending local business community activities as a representative of Bennett Jones
