About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our Plant Leadership Team at Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and engineering department, ensuring safe working conditions, and driving business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant reliability, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
  • Manage the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring effective cost control and capital investment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve plant and corporate objectives, including safety, quality, customer service, and team development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement a structured approach to maintenance, fully exploiting opportunities to improve plant reliability.
  • Own the plant reliability KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategies to reduce losses.
  • Support other continuous improvement activities and lead PM and EEM Pillars with strong involvement in AM Pillars.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • 3-8 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, leading people and teams.
  • Effective team builder with demonstrated abilities to lead and motivate all levels of personnel.
  • Proven history of directing and coordinating business direction, with a sound understanding of business and engineering concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and communicate long-term strategic goals.
  • Experience in leading sustainable cultural change and highly motivated and self-directed.
