We are seeking a skilled Building Systems Technician to join our team at Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Ottawa, ON.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the day-to-day operation of all building, life safety, and security control and monitoring systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot building system alarms, including security, fire alarm, and sprinkler systems.
- Recommend alterations, upgrades, or replacement equipment for building operations, security, and life safety systems.
- Maintain maintenance and repair logs for all equipment and systems.
- Coordinate external contract maintenance support.
- Provide backup to the Facilities Coordinator as required.
- Be available for on-call duty and shift work as scheduled.
- Perform administrative work as required, including completion of work orders and maintaining required databases.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure building equipment meets scheduled and periodic maintenance requirements.
- Building Technician Program diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance role.
- 1-3 years' operating and troubleshooting experience on BAS and HVAC control systems.
- Strong knowledge of automation control theory and concepts.
