Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Cadillac Fairview. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment used in the daily operation of our physical plant and Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs required for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment to maintain a safe and healthy environment for tenants and customers.
  • Secure CF property against loss due to theft, fire, liability claims, and prosecutions by ensuring all health, safety, and security procedures are adhered to.
  • Monitor central plant and related systems to ensure a comfortable environment for tenants and patrons.
  • Test fire equipment on a monthly basis to ensure proper operations and tenant safety.
  • Perform daily inspections of all common and maintenance areas and responsible for relamping in all areas of the property to ensure proper lighting levels.
  • Respond to tenant concerns regarding HVAC issues by solving problems or making recommendations as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and enrolled in SMA or SMT (BOMA).
  • Minimum two years' experience in physical plant operations, HVAC, and other related equipment preferably in a commercial hi-rise or mixed-use environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures and complete familiarity with site and current technology.
  • General knowledge of HVAC electrical/mechanical systems and computer programs such as Microsoft Office and building automation system (BAS) software.
