About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a spreader, plow wing, combo unit, and/or tow plow to perform snow removal on local roads and highways as per contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including spreaders, plow wings, combo units, and tow plows
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Conduct accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
  • Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, extended hours, and respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications

We welcome applicants with:

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
