As a seasoned Senior Project Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, supporting the Program Management effort for this historic multi-billion dollar project. This exciting opportunity requires an individual with expertise in planning and scheduling, who can collaborate effectively across organizations.

The Senior Project Planner is responsible for ensuring the program's continuous progress in accordance with the program strategy and objectives. This involves drawing attention to challenges ahead, enabling the executing team to position themselves for successful delivery of commitments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Coordinating IMS updates with the Prime Contractor and subcontractors
  • Supporting the detailed planning of ongoing activities using the rolling wave technique when required
  • Monitoring and updating milestone achievements within CAE internal systems
  • Informing stakeholders of project timelines and deadlines
  • Performing what-if scenarios and impact analysis on the schedule to mitigate risks
  • Ensuring all required data from the organization is properly updated to support Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Making recommendations regarding best industry processes and tools
  • Mentoring junior planners and PMs on scheduling techniques

This position requires a strong background in project planning and scheduling, as well as excellent communication skills to present complex scenarios to various audiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively across organizations and be proficient in Microsoft Office tools. A college or university degree in management or a technical specialization, or equivalent experience, is also essential.
