About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at KFC / Taco Bell - Yonge-Eglinton. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates to management.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed and that tasks are completed on time.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service management role.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines.
  • Other Benefits: Free parking available, permanent employment, 30 to 40 hours per week, English language.
