Job Title: Internal Auditor

DUCA Financial Services Credit Union Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our Audit team. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Job Purpose & Summary

The Internal Auditor will support the Audit team in conducting audits across the organization to identify areas of risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Manager, Internal Audit, to develop and implement audit plans, conduct fieldwork, and prepare audit reports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas of risk and recommend controls to mitigate those risks.
  2. Develop and implement audit plans, including test scripts and procedures.
  3. Conduct fieldwork and testing to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls.
  4. Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
  5. Maintain awareness of emerging risks and regulatory requirements.
  6. Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 0-2 years of internal or external audit experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of internal audit practices and risk management principles.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
