Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial Compliance Specialist to join our team at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Auditing and reconciling daily paperwork to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, notifying supervisors of any discrepancies
  • Preparing exception and machine service reports to identify areas for improvement
  • Reviewing slot machine functions to ensure proper revenue reporting and validating controls in accordance with Departmental or Internal Control Manual(s)
  • Assisting with site payroll and ensuring timely payments

What You Bring

  • A college diploma or equivalent with a focus in Accounting or designation in the Accounting field, or comparable working experience in related fields
  • Working experience in a related field of one (1) or more years
  • Proven high level of customer service and strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with working knowledge of computer software packages
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
