Job Title: Warehouse / Forklift Operator

Location: Markham, Ontario

Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stockkeeping, picking, packing and shipping activities. Also responsible for counter sales, housekeeping and related quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all incoming shipments and verify purchased products.
  • Enter order receipts into the computer system and perform quality assurance inspections when necessary.
  • Place received material into proper warehouse storage locations and relocate and consolidate material as needed.
  • Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment, including assemble & hold orders.
  • Prepare bills of lading and express receipts, and assist in loading the trucks.
  • Maintain appropriate forms pending the return of material and inspect the condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms.
  • Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier.
  • Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area, and assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves and tables as needed.
  • Maintain counter stock as needed and may assist with over-the-counter sales.
Requirements
  • Able to work in a team environment and in a fast-paced / deadline environment.
  • Certified on Counterbalance or Reach, if both it will be seen as an asset.
  • Have your own reliable transportation method.
  • Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).
  • A Criminal Record Check is required before beginning the position.
