Job Title: Mental Health Registered Nurse

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team in Comox, British Columbia. The successful candidate will provide mental health services to our clients in a primary health care setting, utilizing their skills in assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services to clients in a primary health care setting
  • Assess and diagnose mental health needs of clients
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of clients
  • Provide counseling services to clients in individual and group therapy sessions
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university
  • Current and valid nursing license in BC
  • Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in nursing practice performing mental health nursing activities
