Job Title: Mental Health Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Bayshore Medical Personnel in Comox, British Columbia. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our clients in a primary health care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, nursing diagnosis, and development of care plans for clients with mental health issues
  • Providing counseling services in individual and group therapy sessions using CBT, DBT, or motivational interview techniques
  • Conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university
  • Current and valid nursing license in BC
  • Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in nursing practice performing Mental Health nursing activities
