About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and pastries that meet the expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that products meet established standards.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the baking industry.
  • Café or coffee shop work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Physically demanding role.

Estimated Salary Range

$35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
