About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our fleet of equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and machinery.

Your expertise in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems will be essential in ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as documenting your work to ensure the overall organization of the shop.

Safety will always be your top priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants. Your opinion will be valued as you assist in decision-making for any outside repairs to the equipment and support for overall general shop maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining all equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and machinery
  • Repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Documenting work to ensure overall organization of the shop
  • Promoting, leading, and executing a safety-first culture
Requirements
  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician license (consideration for a 310S or 421A license or apprentice)
  • Valid G license
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season
Preferred Qualifications
  • DZ license, an asset
  • Roadside service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Training
