Apprentice Mechanic

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Apprentice Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
- Assist experienced technicians with complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous experience in gas or diesel vehicle repair, preferably with school buses.
- Must have a basic tool set and be able to work independently.
- Good computer skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work assigned shift.
