Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss to join our team in the London/Kitchener & Waterloo region. This is a remote position that will report to our London Ontario office.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect large loss sites to produce restoration, repair or replacement cost estimates for buildings with major damage.
- Audit estimates and work performed by contractors/restorers to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Handle complaints regarding the quality of work, costs, and restoration methods.
- Use analytical skills to manage the appraisal process for large commercial and personal property losses.
- Work directly with customers and vendors to conduct inspections, identify scope of damages, and create cost estimates.
- Five to eight years of experience in post-claim appraisal with at least two to three years in large losses.
- Diploma in building appraisal and/or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Technical and practical knowledge of restoration of damaged buildings.
- High-level knowledge of Xactimate estimating software.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to find solutions.
