The Maintenance Planner/Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by coordinating all activities within the Preventative and Planned Maintenance Program. This includes monitoring and tracking outstanding work, reviewing and updating equipment records, and providing reports on key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track outstanding work in the system to ensure timely completion.
  • Review and update equipment records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide reports on key performance indicators to inform maintenance decisions.
  • Facilitate the Daily Validation meeting to convert notifications to work orders.
  • Ensure all PMs and work orders are planned and scheduled to meet completion deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2-week frozen schedule in conjunction with the production schedule.
  • Track completion of PMs and create a weekly PM compliance report.
  • Review and document changes to PMs requested by trades.
  • Creates work orders and tracks to completion with weekly updated reports.
  • Ensure minimal overdue work orders and report on any seriously overdue work orders.
  • Maintain all calibration records and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Participate in all zone audits.
  • Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to understand the requirements of work orders that require contractor support.
  • Contact and schedule contractors to come on site based on the production schedule.
  • Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule planned maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary school education in a technical field or trade certification as Millwright or Electrician is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of SAP software and CMMS is strongly preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in combination with trade and maintenance planning is required.
  • A high sense of accountability, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
