Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in the interdisciplinary team at The EMP, providing quality care to patients and families by promoting, maintaining, and/or restoring functional performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide occupational therapy services within the scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective interventions.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational therapy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Membership in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
  • CPR Level C certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a team member and possess leadership and coaching skills.
  • High regard for confidentiality.
