Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist is a key member of the interdisciplinary team at The EMP, responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and families. This role involves promoting, maintaining, and restoring functional performance through evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' functional needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
- Design and implement adaptive equipment and strategies to enhance patients' independence and participation in daily activities.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-management and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Membership in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and eligibility for Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists membership.
- Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
- CPR Level C certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and demonstrate leadership and coaching skills.
