Lawn Care Team Lead

PB10 Construction & Landscaping seeks a skilled Lawn Care Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of our outdoor spaces. As a key member of our team, you will direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, as well as supervise and schedule staff. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Planting of Trees, Gardens and Lawns: Plan and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns to ensure a visually appealing and well-maintained outdoor space.
- Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Recruit, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure the effective management of our grounds maintenance team.
- Organize Planting of Trees, Gardens and Lawns: Coordinate the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Estimate the labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects and develop plans to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records and logs of grounds maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies required for grounds maintenance activities.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Support for Youths: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees and provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
