As a Construction Safety Specialist at Incyte, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for our team members. You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to site leadership and workers on safety regulations and policies.

Your expertise will help us maintain a culture of incident-free work, where every team member feels empowered to speak up and take ownership of their responsibilities. With your knowledge of OH&S regulations and policies, you will facilitate regular safety meetings and training sessions, promoting a collaborative approach to identifying and mitigating hazards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective safety strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending control measures.
  • Provide coaching and training to site leadership and workers on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, developing recommendations for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, investigations, and training sessions.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members, encouraging open communication and participation in safety initiatives.

About You

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in construction safety. Your ideal candidate will possess:

  • A diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, preferably with CRSP certification.
  • At least three years of experience in construction safety, with a focus on OH&S policy development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
