We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Saigon Taste. As an Ethnic Food Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers.
Job Summary:The Ethnic Food Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers. This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. No degree, certificate or diploma is required, but 7 months to less than 1 year of experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
We specialize in Vietnamese cuisine and are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking and sharing their cultural heritage with our customers.

Our team offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers:We participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers. Our team applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:We participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
