Design Coordinator Role Overview

EllisDon is seeking a skilled Design Coordinator to join our team. As a Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development of our design proposals for P3 and other design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of design proposals and manage the design team to ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Coordinate all disciplines to develop aggressive design solutions.
  • Analyze project requirements and guide design teams to meet project requirements while maintaining budgetary requirements.
  • Develop submissions and presentations for RFP period collaborative meeting process.
  • Coordinate documentation of the proposed design to support estimating the project cost.
  • Develop project schedule and project logistic plans, and manage consultant contracts and scopes of work.
  • Work with the estimating team to ensure adequate design assumptions are managed and contained within project budgets.

Requirements:

  • Construction-related degree and three to six years of Design Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a large team and develop strong client relations.
  • Experience in design-build projects is an asset.
