Design Coordinator Role Overview

EllisDon is seeking a skilled Design Coordinator to join our team. As a Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development of our design proposals for P3 and other design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of design proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and coordination with all disciplines.
  • Manage the design team to deliver compliant and aggressive design solutions, while maintaining budgetary requirements.
  • Analyze project requirements and guide design teams to meet project needs, while developing a strategy to win the opportunity.
  • Develop and coordinate documentation of proposed designs to support estimating project costs.
  • Work with the estimating team to ensure adequate design assumptions are managed and contained within project budgets.

Requirements

  • Construction-related degree and three to six years of Design Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction scopes, activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a large team and develop strong client relationships.
  • Experience in design-build projects is an asset.
