Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Components Designer to join our team at New Flyer. As an Electrical Components Designer, you will be responsible for completing design tasks and project assignments that support production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete design tasks and project assignments to support production activities.
  • Coordinate own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met, considering vendor and production lead times.
  • Create designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, and other contract documents.
  • Ensure compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
  • Complete or initiate-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations.
  • Complete technical drawings and release documents under Engineering procedures.
  • Provide engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, and other departments as required.
  • Interact with vendors and customers on design-related issues.
Requirements
  • College Grad with 1-5 years experience (Junior), 5-10 years experience (Intermediate), or 10+ years experience (Senior).
  • Manufacturing & Assembly experience is an asset.
  • Strong CAD/Unigraphics Drafting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
