About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, experience working in a fast-food outlet or concession environment, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely preparation of food orders
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels and control costs
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen helpers
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high-quality standards
  • Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring adequate coverage and maintaining a positive team dynamic
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform operational decisions
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1-6 months of experience in a fast-food outlet or concession environment
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to train staff accordingly
