The salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including parking available, permanent work term, and 40 hours of work per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Alpenlofts Veterinary Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests. They will also treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery.

  • Treating sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery
  • Diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests
  • Vaccinating animals to prevent and treat diseases
  • Providing advice to clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
