As a communications manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that promote the institute's work and support the continued success and growth of the agricultural industry.
Your expertise in strategic communications, including media relations, digital and social content, and issues management, will enable you to develop annual operational plans and ensure timely and effective execution of tactics. You will supervise a team of five responsible for managing the institute's communications channels, including media relations, speeches at events, web content on Saskatchewan.ca, dedicated social media channels, publications and trade show support. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in journalism, communications, or a related field of study, combined with at least three years of experience in corporate communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You must possess superior verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to excel in high-pressure situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills are also essential. Experience in leading a communications team is considered an asset.
