We are a progressive elementary school located in two state-of-the-art campuses in Surrey, BC. Our mission is to provide a well-rounded educational experience that goes beyond the traditional classroom.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Elementary School Teacher to join our faculty. As a member of our team, you will contribute to creating a caring student-centered learning environment and contribute to the delivery of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach all areas of the elementary curriculum, as per the BC Ministry Guidelines and the new BC Curriculum
  • Create a positive and caring learning environment
  • Integrate teaching practices and strategies that consider the new BC Curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation
  • Develop and implement positive classroom management strategies
  • Meet requirements for effective assessment of students' development (including record keeping)
  • Coordinate activities and resources and support colleagues in the delivery of the curriculum
  • Work with others to plan and coordinate work
  • Keep up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly
  • Work with parents and administrators to maximize opportunities for students
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
  • Completed education in North America
  • Professional Teaching Certificate valid in British Columbia
  • Fluent communication in English
