We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our residents while promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
About the Opportunity- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
- Provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
- Work with existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintain the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Apply dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
- Assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
- Active registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid CPR & First Aid or BLS Certification (required).
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
- Advanced proficiency in the English and French language is required.
- Any previous course in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care to be a huge asset.
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
