About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III. As an entry-level position, this role offers an excellent opportunity to start your career in diesel truck maintenance and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Job Description

This position involves performing minor component repairs and replacements, assisting with major component removals, replacements, and repairs, and other duties under the supervision of a lead technician or supervisor. You will work on a variety of tasks, including brake repairs, electrical work, and cab component replacements.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and meeting productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery.
  • Assist with the removal, replacement, and repair of major components under the direction of a lead technician or supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of practical experience in vehicle repair or truck repair (preferred).
  • Vocational/technical certification (preferred).
  • A valid driver's license class G or class 5, and the ability to obtain a class DZ license within 6 months of being hired.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems.
