Make a Lasting Impact
  • Develop and execute underwriting strategies to drive profitable new and renewal business in Excess Casualty.
  • Analyze risks using logical and methodical underwriting tools and methods to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure all accounts are underwritten and structured with full regard to risk and profitability.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with broker partners through marketing presentations and relationship management.
  • Respond to mid-term servicing requirements and account-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maximize opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and develop targeted business strategies.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience in Excess and Umbrella Coverage, including a deep understanding of underlying coverages.
  • Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriting experience is a plus.
  • Strong policy wording knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to industry trends.
  • University degree or college diploma and excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in reviewing Casualty Loss control and/or Engineering Reports is a plus.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry, legal, and regulatory trends.
