Job Summary

The Cytotechnologist will play a vital role in our diagnostic laboratory, performing technical and professional functions in Cytology. This individual will be responsible for preparing and screening samples, as well as maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and screen cytology samples for diagnostic purposes
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient samples and test results
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective sample processing
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in cytology

Requirements

  • Certified M.L.T. (Cytology) or equivalent
  • Four years' experience in non-gyne cytology, preferably in a hospital environment
  • Experience with liquid-based cytology prep and screening
  • Member in good standing with CMLTO (College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario)
  • Excellent communication and problem assessment skills
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Individual leadership skills
