Job Title:

Heavy Equipment Operator - Winter Maintenance

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our winter maintenance team at Emcon Services Inc. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating various heavy equipment such as snowplows, sanding trucks, and salt trucks to ensure safe and efficient road maintenance during the winter season.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain roads and highways
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisor
  • Collaborate with other crew members to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • DZ class license
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a similar role
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure safe road conditions
  • Exposed to extreme cold, wet, and noisy environments
  • Must be physically fit to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
