We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven infrastructure advisory economist to join our Finance and Economics practice at WSP.

The successful candidate will have a close working relationship with the Finance and Economics team and will be based in Canada, with a preference for a large urban centre such as Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide several services related to finance and economics, including Financial, Economics and Risk Advisory and Municipal Finance.

  • Develop and deliver business cases in line with provincial or federal guidelines.
  • Support teammates in the delivery of deliverables and sustainability advice for clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other teams within WSP Canada as well as global WSP offices.
  • Develop content for successful proposals and support the overall proposal process.
  • Support the growth of our economics and finance services offerings for clients.

Requirements

  • Graduate Degree in Economics or Finance.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in consulting related industry.
  • Bilingual with excellent writing and communication skills in both English and French.
  • Demonstrable track record applying economics and finance to projects.
  • Strong quantitative skill analysis with proven record of modelling with Excel.
  • Proficient knowledge of any statistical programming language such as Stata, Matlab, GAUSS, etc. and econometrics is preferred.
