About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Bourse de Montréal Inc. as part of the Regulatory Division under the Chief Legal Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on market integrity rules and regulations
  • Negotiate and interpret complex commercial agreements
  • Review and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Provide legal support for regulatory compliance and risk management
  • Stay up-to-date on derivatives law and financial regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed

Requirements

  • Member of the Quebec Bar with a strong understanding of derivatives law
  • 4-8 years of experience in derivatives law, with a proven track record of providing expert legal advice
  • Knowledge of derivatives trading and financial markets
  • Strong analytical and representation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team
  • Results-oriented and team-spirited, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
